Thank you for choosing Xplywi. This Product Compatibility Policy explains how to check whether a Xplywi vehicle-specific dash cam or related accessory is suitable for your vehicle before placing an order.

Xplywi currently sells and ships products to the United Kingdom only. Because many UK vehicles are right-hand drive and may have different mirror housing structures, sensor covers, trim levels, or factory equipment, compatibility should be checked carefully before purchase.

Xplywi products are designed for selected vehicle models, model years, rearview mirror housings, windscreen sensor covers, installation positions, wiring layouts, and product configurations. They are not universal products unless the product page clearly states otherwise.

Many vehicle-specific dash cams and accessories are not universal. Even vehicles from the same brand may have different structures depending on the model, model year, trim level, production period, mirror housing, windscreen sensor cover, right-hand drive layout, and original factory equipment.

For Xplywi dash cams and related accessories, compatibility may depend on:

  • Right-hand drive layout

5. Photo Requirements for Compatibility Check

Clear photos are very helpful when checking compatibility, especially for dash cams designed for specific rearview mirror housings or windscreen sensor cover areas.

Please try to provide photos that show:

  • The original rearview mirror from the front seats
  • The front view of the mirror housing and windscreen area
  • The left side of the rearview mirror housing
  • The right side of the rearview mirror housing
  • The mirror base and windscreen sensor cover
  • The area behind the rearview mirror
  • The full shape of the plastic cover around the mirror
  • Any camera, rain sensor, light sensor, or ADAS sensor area, if visible
  • Any visible difference between your vehicle and the product images

Please make sure the photos are clear, bright, and not too close. Blurry, dark, incomplete, or overly close photos may make compatibility checking difficult.

Customer-submitted vehicle photos and videos are used only for compatibility checks, product support, order service, warranty support, returns, refunds, exchanges, or after-sales assistance. We do not use customer-submitted vehicle photos, installation photos, videos, or private support files for advertising or public marketing without your consent.

Please avoid sending unnecessary personal documents or unrelated private images. If your number plate or personal information appears in a photo, you may cover or blur it before sending the photo to us.

6. Compatibility Table Notice

Some product pages may include a compatibility table showing compatible vehicle models and years.

The compatibility table is provided to help customers choose the correct product. However, it should be used together with the product images, product description, installation notes, and your actual vehicle structure.

If your vehicle model or year is not listed, please do not assume the product is compatible. Contact us before placing an order.

If your vehicle is listed but the original mirror housing, windscreen sensor cover, or installation area looks different from the product images, please contact us before purchasing.

Compatibility tables are guides and may not cover every production variation, special trim, modified vehicle, or market-specific structure.

7. Model Year, Trim, and UK Version Notice

Vehicle model years may vary by production date, trim level, factory configuration, and market version.

A vehicle listed as a specific model year may still have a different mirror housing, sensor cover, or wiring layout depending on the trim level or original factory equipment.

For UK vehicles, right-hand drive layout and local vehicle specifications may affect installation structure. Please check the actual structure of your vehicle, not only the model year.

8. Right-Hand Drive Notice for UK Vehicles

Xplywi currently serves the United Kingdom, where most vehicles are right-hand drive. Some vehicle-specific dash cam products may be affected by right-hand drive layout, mirror housing shape, wiring position, cable direction, or installation angle.

Please check the product page carefully to confirm whether the product is suitable for your vehicle. If the product page does not clearly confirm your vehicle structure, please contact us before placing your order.

If your vehicle is an imported vehicle, modified vehicle, or a vehicle with a non-standard mirror housing, please contact us before purchase with clear photos.

9. Modified Vehicles and Aftermarket Parts

Compatibility information is based on standard vehicle structures and original mirror housing areas where applicable.

If your vehicle has been modified, repaired with non-original parts, fitted with an aftermarket rearview mirror, or changed around the windscreen sensor cover area, compatibility may be affected.

Xplywi cannot guarantee compatibility with modified vehicles, aftermarket mirror assemblies, non-standard sensor covers, or vehicles with altered wiring or trim structures.

If your vehicle has been modified, please contact us before purchase and provide clear photos of the installation area.

10. Configuration and SKU Notice

Some Xplywi products may be available in different configurations or SKUs.

Depending on the product, options may include:

  • Different memory card capacities, if included

12. Power Cable and Parking Monitoring Notice

Some dash cam functions, such as parking monitoring or continuous parking recording, may require an additional compatible power cable, hardwire kit, OBD power cable, or other optional accessory.

Parking monitoring may require an additional compatible power cable and may not be included with every product configuration.

If your selected product uses a standard plug-in power cable or a rain sensor power cable, the dash cam may turn off when the vehicle is turned off and may not record after the vehicle is parked.

If parking monitoring is supported by the product, it usually requires a compatible OBD power cable or hardwire power cable. Please check the product page carefully to confirm whether the required cable or accessory is included in your selected product option.

If a function requires an optional accessory that is not included in your order, you may need to purchase the accessory separately.

Xplywi is not responsible for function limitations caused by missing optional accessories that were not included in the purchased product package.

13. App and WiFi Function Notice

Some Xplywi dash cam products support local WiFi connection through the Viidure app, depending on the product model.

App control means that your phone connects directly to the dash cam’s WiFi for local operation, such as viewing videos, downloading recordings, changing settings, or checking files.

App control does not mean remote viewing from another location. The dash cam does not support remote operation from home or from a different place unless clearly stated on the product page.

App features may vary depending on product model, phone model, operating system, app version, WiFi environment, and device compatibility.

Please check the product page carefully to confirm whether the product supports WiFi, Viidure app control, or other smart functions.

14. Rear Camera Installation Notice

Some front and rear dual camera products include a rear camera. The rear camera installation method may vary depending on product design and vehicle structure.

Unless clearly stated on the product page, the rear camera is generally designed for interior installation, such as the inside of the rear windscreen area.

Unless clearly stated otherwise, the rear camera should not be assumed to be waterproof and should not be installed outside the vehicle or near the number plate area.

If you are unsure about rear camera installation, please contact us before installing the product.

15. Installation Responsibility

Some products may require installation, cable connection, mounting, trim removal, app setup, or vehicle-specific fitting.

Customers are responsible for checking compatibility and following installation instructions carefully.

Please check the product model, included accessories, cable type, product condition, and vehicle installation area before installation.

We recommend professional installation if you are not familiar with vehicle electronics, wiring, or interior trim removal.

Xplywi is not responsible for product damage, vehicle damage, installation failure, or other losses caused by:

  • Improper installation
  • Incorrect wiring
  • Forced installation
  • Use of incompatible accessories
  • Modification of the product
  • Cut, altered, or modified cables
  • Unauthorised repair
  • Installation by an unqualified person
  • Failure to follow installation instructions
  • Installation outside the recommended vehicle area
  • Use of non-approved power accessories or third-party wiring

16. Before Installation Inspection

Before installing the product, please inspect the package and product carefully.

Please check:

  • The product model and selected configuration
  • Whether all expected accessories are included
  • Whether the product appearance is normal
  • Whether the cable type matches your installation needs
  • Whether the product shape matches your original rearview mirror housing area
  • Whether the product appears damaged during delivery

If you notice any issue before installation, please contact us before using, installing, cutting, modifying, or forcing the product into place.

17. If You Ordered the Wrong Product

If you ordered a product that is not compatible with your vehicle, please contact us as soon as possible.

Please provide:

  • Your order number
  • Your vehicle brand, model, and year
  • Photos of your original installation area
  • A photo of the received product
  • A photo of all accessories received
  • A short explanation of the compatibility issue

We will review the situation and try to provide a suitable solution, such as compatibility guidance, exchange support, or return instructions where eligible.

If the wrong product was ordered because of incorrect vehicle information, failure to check compatibility, or customer selection error, the customer may be responsible for return shipping costs, exchange costs, or any price difference according to our Return & Refund Policy.

For customer-reason returns or exchanges, the product must be unused, uninstalled, unmodified, complete, and in a returnable condition. Installed, used, modified, damaged, incorrectly installed, or incomplete products are not eligible for customer-reason returns.

18. If We Sent the Wrong Product

If you received a product that is different from what you ordered, please contact us as soon as possible, preferably within 5 business days after delivery.

Please provide:

  • Your order number
  • Photos of the product received
  • Photos of the package label
  • Photos of included accessories
  • A short description of the issue

If the issue is confirmed to be caused by our error, we will provide a reasonable solution, such as replacement, exchange, missing parts reshipment, return support, or refund according to our Return & Refund Policy.

If you contacted us before purchase, provided accurate vehicle information and clear photos, and we confirmed compatibility incorrectly in writing, please contact us with your order number and the previous compatibility confirmation message.

After reviewing the case, we may provide a suitable solution such as exchange support, replacement, return instructions, or refund according to our Return & Refund Policy.

If the issue was caused by incorrect or incomplete vehicle information provided by the customer, hidden vehicle modifications, non-standard parts, or photos that did not clearly show the actual installation area, customer-reason return or exchange rules may apply.

20. Brand and Model Name Notice

Vehicle brand names, model names, chassis codes, trademarks, and logos mentioned on our website are used only to identify product compatibility.

All vehicle brand names, model names, trademarks, and logos belong to their respective owners.

Use of these names does not imply endorsement, sponsorship, authorisation, or affiliation with the vehicle manufacturers unless clearly stated.

Xplywi products are aftermarket accessories and are not original vehicle manufacturer parts unless clearly stated otherwise.

Xplywi is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, authorised by, or officially connected with Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, Volkswagen, Porsche, Toyota, Ford, Honda, Land Rover, Jaguar, Lexus, or any other vehicle manufacturer unless expressly stated.

21. Compatibility Disclaimer

We make reasonable efforts to provide accurate product compatibility information.

However, vehicle designs may vary by production date, trim level, factory configuration, mirror housing structure, sensor cover design, right-hand drive layout, and previous modifications. Because of these variations, compatibility information is provided as a helpful guide and should be checked together with your actual vehicle structure.

We cannot guarantee compatibility if:

  • The customer provides incomplete or unclear photos
